How-to-build-layers-Orange-flowers

Do you want to give more depth and shadows to your floral compositions, but you don’t really know where to start from? I get you….

This tutorial is all about the layering technique. We will practice by painting these bright orange main flowers and blue filling flowers, then we will add layers on top of the first one. This is a step-by-step tutorial. By the end of the video you will have a clearer idea of how to layer your floral compositions and you will be able to apply these tips on your own artwork.

Keep in mind that this is not a simple technique, and it requires a lot of practice to be master. My recommendation for you is to start from a smaller size of paper (there is no need to cover a full page if you want to practice just your layering strokes) and paint just a few very simple flowers. Not too fancy, not too detailed.

Follow then the instructions I explain in the video below and take some time to practice and let this information sit within yourself. Don’t rush and enjoy the process, my friend.
